Got a mate with one of these beasts and the compressor runs continuously.
I know muffins about these except having identified that it is the compressor running...

How does one identify whether it's air bag, sensor, valve block or compressor which is at fault?
I ain't used the EAS software, so am running blind here - any help?

unplug everything in compressor housing and leave it so for some hours... if it will keep level it means airsprings are good and might be height sensor or management failure ...if it will drop it's airbag or valve leak...soapy water all around then and watch for bubbles. ...if airbags and valves are good it will stay on level for days untill u get near a nanocom or hawkeye to read fault code. If no code present and compressor works all the time report back and i'll tell u more...anyway u have to fix it ASAP or it will be a dead compressor shortly...and it's not cheap

Well have been using this site for long enough to work out various problems and thought I best give some feed back.

Got home from driving home this evening and the pump kept running.

Tried starting the engine etc... still remained to run.

So after firing up the bible of websites and seeing various posts about removing the fuse to shut it off etc... I prepared myself for a cold role around on the floor. Moved the car 10m to somewhere more suitable and shut the engine off.

The pump had stopped running :D. Good fix!! Shortly after I made a few calls and it was said it the valves are 'exercised/worked' i.e. reversing and breaking hard the forces exerted on the valves etc could cure it. Worth a go.

Anyway now back to the three f..king amegos!!!

Matt

I'd still suspect the relay as the only way current can get to the pump with ignition off is if the relay is faulty.

May be one of those things that "cures itself" but I'd check it if it was mine - easy way is to swap relay with the A/C one (leaving that out) as that doesn't get much use.

If the pump runs with the valves shut for long it will do it no good at all.
