Disco 2 Front Seat Foam

Having just returned from a 600 mile round trip to N Wales and suffered numb bum from my driver's seat, it is now time to replace the front seat foam in my 99 Disco 2. Can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier and advice on fitting?

My vehicle, same MY as yours has the same problem after 275K/kms. The squab is available as a genuine part, about $450 Australian. One way to minimise the sore bum or back is to tilt the back of the seat so you are in more of a straight arm position.

My mate had the same problem. He managed to get hold of a Renualt Logan front seat cushion foam from one of our suppliers. He had to cut the slits forthe retainer strips but he says it is a perfect fit. Maybe get one from a scrap yard or from Renault. Probably cheaper than a stealer!

I cut foam mainly for boats, caravan, suites, pubs ect. but in the
past week I have had 2 of your members call me and ask if I do
these foam seats, well I used to years ago....

My question is, is there still a high demand for them or should I not
bother doing them again...

....i changed mine...beware of the really rubbish plastic stitched clips that tear along holes when you unclip them....there is no replaceing them.....and take your time when unsticking the heated seat element.......when it's done it is v comfortable.

Nick, are you saying that you put the D1 foam from exmoor trim in your D2?

....sorry no, i bought the d2 squab......hmmmmm.......i asked for the D2 squab.......let me check the receipt.....

....Can't find the receipt at the mo....will keep looking.
I would have thought that it would be the same as then they could use them in the new model without all the issues of new foam....i would anyway.

never mind Nick. I have sent them an email regarding fitting the D1 foam to my D2 seat base. Just in case it helps anyone else on here i will post any info i get back from them.

well the D1 seat foam from Exmoor trim won't fit a D2. maybe if there were enough of us Derek @ foamwizards would consider making one.

Ok peeps I am looking for a DISCOVERY 2 seat base/foam & cover any condition, I have been asked now by a few of your members to start doing them, I have bought a new seat foam from exmoortrim and I will copy this too fit the disco 2 seat pans I have looked for a while but can't get my hands on one, so I cant make them till I get one, if you have a disco2 seat pan for sale I will buy it from you, I would like to do these seats as exmore do them also I will do them firm and extra firm for green laners also if I have time even in drip dry foam for the water boys too. if I get a cover I will start to get these made up to...
