hey guys
has anyone ever fitted a second hand one of these?
I know it has to be recoded to the new vehicle but wondered if anyone had had a bad experience.
I have had BCU fault confirmed as my alarm/immobiliser issues.
New genuine is £200, ebay about £80 used...

yep i have fitted a second hand one after mine kept resting and can be done with a nanocom
need to
reset the speedo
reset the emergency acess code (EAK)
reset the key fobs (take them to bits and reed the numbers off them)
reprogeam the ecu security codes
then change all the setings (like fog lights headlight washers air or coil suspension ETC)

I would wonder where the used one came from? We recently fitted a 2nd hand SLABS ecu no problem, but the electrician who did it collects 2nd hand ones from breakers and tests them out first...
