Disco 2 Alarm help required please

I've had my disco up on the ramps at the back for a few days while I did a couple of repairs, last night the alarm randomly went off while I was in bed, I got up, went out and unlocked it and left it that way until today, i started it up today and took it for a run out (once I had finished the other jobs) it started fine as expected with the new battery it has. When I came back home and parked it up I got out and locked it with the remote, The horn blew once to alert me to a problem, the interior lights were on but all doors and tailgate were shut, I noticed that the passenger front door didn't lock either. Anyone have any clue?

thanks for that both of u. have just priced one up and set aside a day to fit it.

It's only a micro switch not closing or maybe a wire broken, not much of a problem but only if you are able to take the lock apart.

you're spot on m8... AGAIN ... that's what i said on other forum regarding this issue :

U had a misslock...i suppose the passenger door switch is the problem... firstly it worked then something happened with it and closed the contact(it's a normally open contact there) and cos the alarm was armed the system felt it like a door was opened and triggered the alarm.

Externally u can check only the wiring and the plug...and check the wiring where it comes into the door from the body cos it used to break there.... if these are OK then u need a new lock actuator

it was locking but not unlocking. was opening it manually from inside using handle originally but now it neither locks nor unlock unless u press the lock button down to lock it. so im just gonna check all wiring and fit a new lock

didn't dis believe u bud just asked the same question at the same time on both forums lol but thanks once again. without people like u people like me wouldn't have a clue!!
