hi all......i have play either side on my steering wheel on my disco 1,.... is it easy to adjust to make it better???
 
Could well be the panhard rod bushes. I had this problem on my 90 where the first few degrees of steering actually moved the axle sideways without turning the wheels. Check the whole system for wear and movement first.
