Disco 1 rear mud flap bracket supports

ive got these new Mudflap bracket supports for my D1 and they seem to be too long.

To fit them they will need to be at a different angle to the originals and another hole drilled nearer the back.

Any thoughts?

Maybe a bit of judicious bending is in order?

So what VIN number did u use wnen you ordered them?, there a two stays available and depending on VIN as u have now found out.
Assume u have a 300 series D1 with VIN from KA 038265 the part number of the staysu require is BTR6172, no doubt obsolete by now, so your left with Britpart with what u have with the additional hole.

Not difficult to modify, if you can’t be bothered to send them back.

They do galvanised ones in the shape I need.

That’s where I’d go, and include the bracket, but years away from doing that
