Disco 1 Problems

Just about to go out and see if I can work out why my Disco 1 won't start (1993 2.0 MPI). Hasn't been running for months as after the battery went dead the is no spark or fuel although the engine turns over.

Think I will go to halfords and get a manual first.

In the meantime any tips for testing that the CPU is getting power?

I was planning on taking a live from the battery to the coil and fuel pump.

Any tips on where the connection is best made?

Whoops I meant ECU not CPU!!

Halfords didn't have a manual so I will just have to see what I can find!!

The first thing to check, by the looks of things is whether there is power getting to PIN 11 on the ECM.

Any IDE how to determine which is PIN 11?

I don't think that is the right one as it appears to be for a v8 with a distributor. There is no white and yellow wire.

sorry mate, i was just pointing out the wat its counted. from pin bottom right corner of socket etc, might be able to count back on yours to pin 11
