Hi all, I'm after a bit of help / advice,

I removed my standard stereo a few months back when I striped out the centre console for a new hand brake lever and some welding,

The stereo was working before it was removed but now iv tried to put it back and it dose not work, iv tried another head unit and still no joy so then dug out the multi meater, I'm getting 12v at the stereo end from the White and orange wire (perm live I guess) but that's it.

so I went to the fuse box fuse is good so I tested the feed to the fuse Holder and I'm only getting 4.5v And now I'm stumped

Has anybody got any ideas or tips of what to do next to resolve the problem thanks

Get a a new multimeter.... why was you delving into the fuse box if you were getting a 12volt feed at the radio. Check your fuseable links you may have blown one.

Thanks for reply

I went to the fuse box because the 12v at the stereo was perm and the 4.5 at fuse was only while ignition was on, where will I find the links?. oh and it's a brand new meater I got for Christmas lol, thanks

New meater? then switch it to the correct voltage.:)...........On a 200 they are rapped up in the material that covers the main wiring loom near the battery you can see a bulge n the loom Ii believe, but if one has blown then other circuits will or should be affected. On a 300 they are in the engine bay fuse box.

Ok thanks I'll have a look tomorrow in the light but like you say other things may/should be affected but as far as I can tell everything els is all working fine? Thanks
