Hi guys, as above really I've had this issue since I bought the car in August and the previous owner told me it was just the plug on the speedo sensor that needed cleaning.
I have cleaned the contacts on the plug and sensor which didn't work, I then replaced the speedo sensor which also didn't work! This led me to believe that perhaps the problem is just some loose contacts behind the dash clocks so I've had them out and given them a clean which also didn't work.
Getting frustrated now as the mileage isn't clocking up and has been the same since the last MOT in February. The previous owner told me that it hadn't been working since he had the clutch changed before that MOT. So i'm beginning to think that perhaps some of the wiring has been damaged during that clutch change.
I'm wondering if you guys had any idea on the routing of these wires so I can carry out some continuity checks? Or any ideas to see if its the clocks that are broken or just another broken speedo sensor?
Cheers guys!
Alex
