disco 1 3.9 v8

Hi all, can anyone tell me if there are any common reasons why a disco 1, 3.9v8 would have an unsteady tickover? It basically revs over then drops below normal tickover or visa versa. It is LPG'd by the way but still does it when running on petrol.
Thought I'd ask before going hunting for the cause as someone always has some pointers - great forum!

mine does the same

as does mine. no lpg. idles between 900 and 1200 rpm as and when it feels like it

Have you serviced it and tried new leads fitted properly? By that I mean that the leads should be in those clips and not touching each other.

I sorted mine and it made a difference.

i'll have a look today. Do like a cheap fix....doesnt happen often

yes! and also check all vacuum hoses ensure no splits on ends and fit tight at all connections.
