Hi folks,

Every time i move forward, there is a 'clunk' in the transmission. I have been under and pulled and pushed, but i cannot see any play in anything.

The video may be of no use, but i am hoping someone can give me some pointers as to what it could be and where i need to start looking

id remove pto cover and check main shaft spline ,presumably youve checked prop slides and ujs

Thanks for the reply. What is the pro cover? I have given everything underneath a good push, shove, twist and pull. Is that all i need to do or is there something else i can do? I am not too sure what prop slides are though :/

When you checked the uj's did you have the vehicle jacked up to relieve the wind up in the transmission if not any free play wouldn't be detectable by hand. Prop slides are where the prop shaft alters it's length by sliding in or out of itself usually there's a rubber dust cover on the shaft itself and a grease nipple

He said PTO not pro.
Google landy mainshaft wear and lots of info will pop up.
The PTO cover is on the back of the box, round plate 6 bolts about 6" dia.
