For you electrical types-
I see the following four wires connecting the gear selector to the ignition circuit:
(1) Black
(2) Black/red
(3) Purple
(4) Green
If the starter inhibitor/reversing light switch is suspect, is there any combination of shorting/grounding/introducing a current into either of these four wires which would bypass the inhibitor altogether?
