Hi I use Dinitrol annually here in the Highlands, and each year Rust patches come through on the chassis. I cover with ML, then more of the 4941. Do you think this is a good idea? No problem with effect to the structure, but I wonder whether to clear it all off and try another product!

Do you cover the outside with ML or use for the inside of the chassis? ML does not set and if being used on the externals may be the issue. The 4941 "sets" and is far more likely to stay in place on the chassis and wear off with use. I have just done the front half of mine with 4941 while the engine was out.

Yes - ML inside, and 4941 outside. We do have a lot of salt on the roads here. The ML seems to do a good job inside, and I have had no issues for the past 3 years, apart from the rust patches appearing here and there - surface patches.

I use rust bullet (expensive) the over rust & bare metal then coat with bilt hamber dyanx s50. Ive tried the
Dinitrol & most other products over the years cant be bothered with a yearly session under the landy.

My other car was done nearly 7 years ago & ive just re-done it a few months ago.
Ive still got 2 tins of rust bullet sitting in my store & I gave a tin to my mate the other day. :)
