Has anyone got one of these, and are they any good ?? My torque wrench starts at 30 Nm, but the other day I needed something much lower than that. So I’m thinking if these are ok, I would get one to cover all the bases !!

I have a Draper/Sealey(?) one. It works but it's fiddly to adjust - need to dig out the instructions each time - and invariably has timed out and gone to sleep by the time I've got the fastener tight enough. I've subsequently bought more standard click ones. I am quite jealous of a mate's digital Snap On wrench though.

D'you want to borrow it to see how you get on with one?

I’d be as well just buying a smaller click one I think, given the price of the digital ones. Thanks for the offer though.
I was fitting the rear hub on the defender and needed one at 5Nm. I ended up using an old style flex bar one I had.

I prefer the snap of a proper torque wrench, rather than the beep of an electronic torque device. They are pretty much bang on though, accurate enough to calibrate an old fashioned snappy torque wrench.

Now you have put a “wrench” in the works. I was all set to just get a click one.

In which case make the axis of the screw horizontal, hang 2.5kg 20cm out along a ratchet spanner and when it stops turning and it's also horizontal you're done.

You could cheat and use a springy luggage scale.
