difflock for dummies

hi peeps , just want to ask if theres a simple diagram with some instructions regarding operation , as the one i bought has no handbook & to be honest never really needed it before , have had a nose about but come up blank on a simple guide with pics , ie what pos should it be in normally (assume neutral) how to engage and appropriate use of hi & low range & i'd rather sound a fool now than when i break something cos i'm plainly a numpty lol:doh:

Do a search mate this has been covered twenty gazillion times and I'm not exxagerating.

there is a link inside the link you posted titled 'diff lock', halfway down the page, click on that and have a read, pretty big thread if I recall.

mucho gracias mate , was about to pick up the disco this evening when i got a call to say that as he had found some rot on the boot floor & if i was ok with waiting 24 hrs he would like to have it all cut out and welded up and the power steering belt adjusted before i took it if that was ok with me , bloody great as far as i'm concerned , hopefully that bodes well for my future with the disco
