Just as it says on the tin really. I need a starter motor for my disco 1 300tdi es auto but are they different with it being an auto?
difference in starter motor 300tdi and 300tdi auto??

I dont believe there's a difference between the starter for the auto and manual versions. Unless I'm mistaken, the standard part should bolt directly on to either setup.

Cheers mate. I didn't think there was but I phoned a scrapyard for a price yesterday and they said they was different

There is only part number and that is ERR5009, new Bosch starter motor.

Cheers. Ive been left with a dreaded head scratcher! Had the starter motor tested and its a goon 'un'! Its turning ovee but very slow so im hoping if I charge the battery over night it should do the trick but the battery I put on was good

Well ive tried 2 good batteries., earthed it straight to the starter motor.........!#Ive also had the starter motor tested and they said it was fine but......after phoning them back to find out what test they did and to make sure I didn't have a lazy one hes reply wss and I repeat "well it ripped into a lump of wood"!! But it would still do that if it was lazy wouldn't it??
