Difference between thor and gems block

I'm going to replace my engine later this year with a block I've rebuilt.
Whats the difference between the thor and gems block. I think its all the same apart from a sensor position. Is this correct ?

and the front plate you will have to swoop over aswell..

Just done a little more homework, so its just the crank sensor. Is it easy to turn a gems into a thor in this dept. Thanks

On this note how do you tell what engine it is? are there any differences between them?

yes block is same crank sensor can be swapped as can knock sensors (remove or add stud),later engine has balanced intake manifold with 2x inlets early has one like 3,9 with single intake

and you need to replace the cam sprocket they are different from memory about 10 or 12 quid - I did mine the other way bought a complete engine from a stealer who was getting rid of all p38 stock a few years ago for 1500 quid and converted to gems had to use original sump as well

and if you had 4 litre can do stright swap with 4.6 ecu etc same for both
