Diff "Wound UP"

Hi I've a 1996 Disco and i just got the clutch replaced, when i got it back the Diff is stuck on and i cant get it off. i brought it back to the garage and they got the light to go off but the diff is still on..
Any ideas ????????

You get diff wind up when you have had it in diff lock and one of the axles are spinning free, then the lock will wind up and kick in. There are 2 ways of getting it off, 1 is to drive forward on a good surface, not wheel spinning, and if that does not work then you need to reverse for 20-30meters to unwind it.

I would be worried about the light, make sure you can still mae it light and the garage has not just unpluged it or something.

hi i've already tried reversing and forward alot and still no joy, I've checked the light is pluged in though i've a feeling they did something to the light so i wouldnt notice the diff stuck. how do the garage get it off if its stuck
