Very true, got one and new prop and ujs coming...the rear one has already been replaced and that wont go the same way.ever heard of a grease gun?
the prop is defo shagged wont extend and cant get grease ito it, ujs bout 4 quid plus P&P.also getting new prop bolts and nuts for 3 quid.Ill let ya know wot the prop sets me back[JP];748397 said:been following your crusade with the props and UJs....(and the grease gun) lol
I've greased mine and checked, don't have any play like that so hopefully mine are ok..
did you end up being a whole prop and UJ? if so how much did it set you back, if you dont mind me asking
That amount of play should be OK, but mine was like that when the diff lost a couple of teeth off the diff pinion gear. Personally I'd leave it as is, I think I was unlucky, but keep an eye on it and listen for any clanking noises ... When you get time it might be worth dropping the diff and replacing bearings/resetting it.
Heheheh, a mate's diff moves about twice as much as the one in the video and yet makes no noises or feels clonky or bad at all .. I think, as I said, that I was unlucky ..
... and the old broken tooth diff/axle sold on ebay for £70 IIRC ... and the guy emailed back saying it was brilliant!!
