Diff Light Switch

The diff light is permanantly lit on my 99 'V' plate Td5 so I'm guessing its the diff lock light switch. I have seen one on ebay for sale, could anyone tell me if its the right one for my car? I have tried asking the seller a Q but has not got back to me. the item number is 220198301735

Are you sure it isn't coz yer diff lock is locked on?

Have you checked to see if the switch is adjustable? It could be that it might be screwed in just a little too much. Might even be ye're drivin' around with the diff lock engaged or the lever isn't quite all the way back or maybe ye've got a short across yer wires somewheres. Might be worth checkin' these out before gettin' a new switch

Untill reciently it was intermittent. It would either go on or off just by going over a bump but the other day it went on & stayed on & hasn't gone off since so I just presumed it was a knackred switch.

First thing ah would do is go and check the lever, stick it into diff lock and and out a few times makin' sure it's firmly back in place. Faillin' that, Ah'm not too sure what kinda switch ye've got - but if it's the same as mine - then it will have a lockin' nut on it... a bit like the reverse light switch....



It may have become loose and needs retightened
