Diff leak

Hi everyone just after a bit of advice on how i can fix my leaking rusty front diff. Today i thought i had an engine oil leak so i steamed off the engine and all around the front diff to find that oil was weaping out of the front diff about an inch below the level plug.The actual diff is that rusty it has a few perforations where it has worn to thin.I was thinking of welding it but have decided against it due to the rust so was hoping i could chemical metal it to stop it leaking. What i want to know if this is a crap idea or whether it is the best way other than either doing a lot of welding or replacing the casing.

Try OxyBond it's a fairly noo chemical metal but it's the dogs danglies for repairing metal.
