diff internals? 10 spline Vs 24 spline

I have a very good spare 10 spline diff off a 200 series disco given to me. The diff on my 300 i believe is a 24 spline. Can i take the 24 spline diff cage and attach that to the good parts of the 10 spline diff, using its pinion, housing and ring gear and such? I do have dti's to check backlash and possibly pinion height, but have read that thats a specialist job.

What other bits would i possibly need to recondition my diff? The reason my diff has gone is that the PO ran it without oil for while as the diff pan is leaking. Just looking at my options at the moment..

the diff gears wont fit from one to other ,carriers will fit in diff housing 10 spline has bearing rtc2726 24 spline has rtc3095 ,crown wheels will swap over ,but are best tested fro run out with dti in carrier with pinion out,pinion hieght should be allright if genuine bearings used and shims kept with diff housing ,pinions are marked on top with number to be set above/below nominal ,but normally swapping is fine ,crown wheel/pinion backlash abd bearing preload is set by adjusting nut on crown whel side till no backlash ,then adjusted other end till about 6 thou backlash comes back

personally before i had my arb lockers my local landy breaker would do a diff for £40 so it wasnt really an option to try fookin about with them unless you really know how to rebuild them and set them up
