I know the subject of overheating has been done to death, however luckily I haven't got that, but.. going through my engine rebuild found that I have a plastic impeller pump. In good nick with no damage or play, so my question is.. Is it worth changing for a metal one and am I going to gain anything. Or is it just as well to keep what I have. I'm happy to take advice either way.

From what I've heard, they both work fine when OK but the impeller is prone to coming loose on the plastic ones causing overheating.
If it were me and I was deep into the engine, I would replace it as a matter of course anyway.

I know it's only £30 or so but thought I would ask, as seeing as the rebuild cost is mounting up, £30 is a new sprocket or an injector serviced.
But metal impeller it is.thankyou all for the advice.. :):)
