my ignition barrel has just broken where the contacts meet and have been quoted £130 for new one, does anyone know if i could bypass this by connecting a switch for my glow plugs and a separate switch for the starter, i.e a push button, and if so how?

Get earlier one without steering lock maybe? ...switches just use your common sense[cross checked with a wireing diagram].& test each function first before moving /lengthening wires to new panel I suggestWelcome To LandyZone, the Land Rover Forums!
