diesel problem

Hope you all can help, again. I fitted a 200tdi disco engine in my 90 a few months ago, it went for it's MOT and I was told the lift pump was leaking so I fitted a new one, all was well for about 4 weeks then the old bus has started to struggle on hills, as if I was running out of diesel, she starts first time and ticks over as she should but when it's reved up she misses and looses power. Any advice please.

Empty the crap outta the bottom of your fuel tank i assume your fuel filter has been replaced recently

Was it a BRITPART lift pump????

Perhaps the fuel filter is congested with some dirt from your tank...?!

Hi I had a similar problem, my 90 would run for about 5 mins then cut out, and restart after 15 mins. I had changed the lift pump and connected the fuel feed and outlets the wrong way around, it's worth checking again as its a simple fix.

More help please, filter changed, pump changed still not running right, can anyone tell me were I can buy new diesel pipes from, I had to make my pipes up with a join at both ends, think this could be the problem sucking air in.

Which pipes bud? You checked your leak off pipes?

The pipes from the lift pump to filter then from the filter to the injector pump

Did you fill the filter with fresh doozel and prime the lift pump? If so crack each injector pipe one at a time while it's at idle and check for a difference in the running pitch.

I had air getting in one of the threads to the lift pump where previous owner had hammer hands. Think I paid 15 for both pipes from a guy breaking a disco near me. It's all about eliminating things one by one starting with the cheapest first!
