So clean. almost like new.

iirc there is a difference for the belt tension if it was used or new.

Cheers
The Belt and Kit was fitted new couple of months ago, engine only Idled about 6 times since never going over 10 minuets at one go. It was a little wet when cover came off but is completely dry now. Should I replace it ?

Disaster. We refitted Pump set Timing up as before when we originally changed belt and pulleys, it starts with a bit if a struggle, but chucking loads of Black smoke / Fumes. won't idle Just cut's out. It's like it could be Over fuleing. What have we done wrong ?

Is the timing all set correctly, pin in the flywheel, timing marks all lined up. 9,5mm pin aligned on the pump?

Cheers

Timing, did you fit the seal or the pump guy?

Correct banjo bolt in the correct hole? look the same but one has a restrictor built in.

Gonna try again but this time also put a pin in flywheel underneath.
if it is Timed correctly what could cause all smoke and bad starting ?

Silly question, was the pulley fitted to the front of the pump by the diesel pump specialist who fitted the new seal?

Cheers

Yes Tried to ring him earlier but they were closed.

I do think your tinig is slightly out but just in case.

OK another silly one, not sure why it would cause you black smoke, but have you got the inlet banjo in the right position, there are two banjos that can be swapped but have a different orifice size. The inlet goes at the front of the engine and has a 13mm AF bolt head, the return pipe goes in the back of the pump and has a 17mm head size.

Cheers
