Got a Leak coming from Wading Plug Hole on Timing Case Didn't know Diesel could get through here.
Suspect a Seal, or could it be something else ?

Almost certainly the seal on the front of the FIP - can be done DIY - use a genuine Bosch seal, and make damn sure it goes in square.... Your local FIP specialist should be able to do it for a few quid ...

Thanks Might have a go myself, will look for a Guide or Vid on youtube. Do you know Part Number for seal ?

Shaft seal, so you have to remove the pump to do the repair, you aill also have to lock the pump shaft up using the buit in keeper plate.
The fact you have derv in the timing chest means your cambelt will also need replacing.

Thanks Mate. So is that seal on the Injection Pump at top, cant see any Leaks around that area, only coming from bottom Wading hole.

Sadly not - as Lynall says, post #6 - shaft seal.... and also, as post #7, timing belt will need doing too

if you are stripping the fuel pump , review britannia restoration videos, ho does a strip dwn and rebuild reference this seal. When I stripped mine down I also got the full socket set for the pump.
Make sure to take lots of pictures if you are stripping ti right down.

I was bored. Actually I am a part time Gynaecologist...LOL

Best way, get someone else to do it, can I ask ? how much did he reckon to do it? Check to see if the pump has the lock bolt on it. If it does, when you refit it , do not forget to remove it. If you are doing the timing belt as well then that kit you posted will also do you for that as well.

Cheers

Thanks Again, Will get someone to take it off for me, where is the lock bolt, He said about 25 to 30 Quid with the seal.
New Timing belt Kit and Water Pump was fitted couple of months ago, only been started half a dozen times since, longest running about 10 minuets so don't know if Diesel will of affected it, Might take a chance of it drying out,and just remove and refit the pump without going in to the case. Or is that a Bad Idea.

Lock bolt is on the underside of the pump. Look at both of these, one even shows the front seal leak.

Does not look to bad in there, belt was slightly wet but has completely dried now, gonna spray brake cleaner everywhere to get it nice and clean before refitting. No sign of any Oil leak just Diesel .
Pump is at Diesel place hopefully ready to pick up tomorrow.

Another thing I meant to ask, I didn't get the Tool to refit, what size Bolt or Drill Bit is used as the Pin when setting it up ?

So clean. almost like new.

iirc there is a difference for the belt tension if it was used or new.

Cheers
