hello all...need somebody to calm my nerves!! I check my TD5 oil level weekly so when I checked it today I “think” I can smell fuel in the oil ? The level was slightly above full on the stick and after reading some horror stories about Turbo failure as an early warning of fuel in the oil, I decided to change just the oil (not the 2 filters).
The old oil (only 3mths old), did appear to be “thin” but after decanting the old oil into a 5ltr empty oil bottle & a 2ltr milk bottle that makes 7 litres I took out (it took 7lts to fill to full on the stick). So am I worrying for nothing here ???? TS
