P38A Diesel Head gasket again

Just the v.coupling is ERR 4996 (also p1/p),
£312 (£115/£50)
Fan assembly is is silly money too. Fan assembly + coupling genuine -£392 as set.
Some upgrade to 300TDI version viscous.

Or got to electric.

I've already searched after we spoke about the first time around last year I think

@tarphenry , I did a test on a Toyota Hilux for the viscous fan.
You can do this with someone in the bus, engine warmed up properly.
Stop the engine, hold the fan still with a bundled rag, have the engine started and ran at say 2000 rpm. As the engine starts to require the fan you can can feel the clutch start to grab gently at first and then more aggressively. It'll eventually become obvious to let it go. Then it'll roar into action and settle when finished with.

The third sensor has nothing to do with aircon or my aircon fans mod.

A diagnostic reading of the BECM will give the build date if you are ever up this way.

There’s also a member here that can supply you the original build sheet but I mustnt mention his name.

Don't know. Mine was registered 1995 but when I went into the main dealer they told me it was a '96 spec car, so they were building the 96 spec car a year earlier in 1995. Work that out!

Standard practice to start building a revamped vehicle some months ahead of release to build up stock.

Yip, just cut the vacuum pipe out of site and it never opens. The ECU operates the electronic valve as it pleases but never draws the mechanical valve open. All looks official under the bonnet. Just don't function man!!
