Given the cold weather I got to thinking (you can probably hear me and it hurts
).
My Rangie DT takes what I consider a normal length of time with the glowplugs on to start (based on other diesels I've owned/driven), yet the 18 month old Kia (Spit!,Spit!) company pool car starts first time without any heating at all! What is it that the newer car does differently to enable this and can it be done to my DT?
