Hello all. Time to say goodbye to my trusty P38. I'd love to keep it but given the small drive and tiny garage, I can't have more than 1 Range Rover in the house!
I've owned this for the past 8 years (or thereabouts) - my first posts on here will show that. I've driven this car the length and breadth of the UK and the islands up north - never really had many problem apart from the EAS many years ago. REplaced pretty much all of it and it's been fine since. It has passed the MOT today with three advisories, nothing serious. You can check these online. I'll try and detail everything relevant below but can provide more info if requested.
Mileage: 164,000
Service History: I received it with none and I've carried out all works myself (oil, filters, plugs, etc)
Known issues:
- LHS Blower motor plays up every so often
- AirCon needs gas - I replaced the condenser and then never bothered to refill.
- Headlining sagging in places; needs replaced.
- Corrosion to the lower boot panel (the usual)
- Light rust to OSR arch (in photos)
- Heated windscreen not working
- OS paintwork isn't great. I didn't notice this when I bought it but it has gradually become worse over time when the sun hits it - shown in the photos.
Good points:
- Still on air suspension.
- Heated seats work
- New MF1000 battery just over a year ago - no drain issues.
- Fresh MOT
- Interior in pretty good condition, no major rips/tears in the leather. (boot needs a hoover as seen in the photos but I'll do that)
- Nearly new tyres on all four corners - Nexen Roadian HP (255/55/18) - fronts have less than 1800 miles on them.
- DVD Screens in headrests. I removed the DVD player for my own homebrew media player but will come with the DVD player and remote to return to 'standard' as it were
I have a list of things I've done to the car, parts replaced etc that I can provide if you want. Almost like a 'service history' but includes non-service parts.
I'd like to see £1500 for the car but happy to listen to offers.
Also have a small pile of spares and unopened lubricants that I'll hand over with the car (diff, gearbox engine oil, plugs, clips, bulbs, outstations, etc)
