clutch bearing makeing noice and plastic smell, can get a q/h clutch kit of island 4x4 for 70pounds delivered , garage wants 150 to fit, is that about right, car still drives ok but whistling and plastic smell.
 
Tis a good price...... Normally at least 2 or 3 times that as the book quotes 6 hours to do the job.
I would probably get a better quality clutch though LUK, Valeo etc..
 
Nothing wrong with Quinton Hazell or Borg & Beck...they have been around for years.

I would have no hesitation in using their products as they are genuine OEM suppliers. Both were on the scene before anyone had heard of Valeo or LUK.
