Hi All,
My wife recently upgraded to a freelander 2 coming from the freelander 1.

I have access to a hawkeye Total and nanocom but the key to the freelander 2 is quite expensive.
However, the hawkeye does it anyway. Is the key for the nanocom worth the money?

Get a Gap Diagnostics IID BT. That's much better than the Nanocom.
The IID works with a smartphone or tablet and gives you massive diagnostic advantage, even over LR's capability.

What can it do that the nanocom or Hawkeye can't?

Everything you'll ever need. It has a fantastic GUI straight to your phone or tab. It'll reprogram and upgrade all the ECUs, read and erase codes and test all sensors on the vehicle as well as full engine diagnostics, including graphical displays of engine parameters, recorded while driving.

Oh and it's the size of a fag packet and uses no wires to hook up to the car. It can be kept in the glove box for use anytime.

If yer just want an initial code read then clear, then drive it around for a bit then read codes again to see what fresh codes come up, as a sort of health check, yer Hawkeye Total you have access to will allow yer to clear and read codes in all computers on the FL1 and FL2.

They haven't added much to the FL1 ad FL2 in the latest firmware version as they were busy adding all the other new LR products to the option list.
