I cant say from experience however what i do know is that they have been doing chassis for a very long time, in my opinion they have to be pretty good if the have been going so long in such a focused market

they were ****e 10 years or so ago as several chassis jobs i did proved, but i believe theyve changed hands one or more times since, so i cant say what there like now from experience

My Defender has a Designa chassis that I bought 15 years ago. Seemed to be a good chassis, though I had to elongate the bolt holes in the chassis to make my front bumper sit level. Also the right hand engine front casing would not allow me to fit my power steering box as it was in the way. I had to extend the engine mounting brackets on the chassis two inches further back to make room for the steering box. The knock on effect meant I had to cut two inches out of the exhaust and have propshafts made to fit. When the chassis was galvanised they did it with the bolt on gearbox cross member bolted to the chassis so I had to carefully cut through the galvanising and drill the bolts out. I ordered a rolling chassis with disc brakes all round.... they sent it with an old brake drum back axle. Got them to swap it for a disc brake Discovery one.

both do it on special request mad hat man :0 ive emailed them richards 2000 +vat and designa is 1650 and no vat. my chassis is fine atm just for future reference replacing half the body atm :-/
