So just fitted one of the Chinese derv heaters to the 110 (5kw, overkill but they sent the wrong one)

Been wonderful using it but last couple days when I turn it on the the morning by remote its been setting the alarm off after 5 mins or so. Didnt the first 2 days but it is everytime now.

Im pretty certain its the volumetric sensor being activated due to the air movement in the landy.

Anyone got any ideas for a solution?

My alarm goes off when I start it if the car battery gets too low on volts. Check your battery condition.

So you have found out now that your alarm system has voltage-drop detection, along with the other sensors perimeter and volumetric.
Could be that your vehicles battery voltage Is sitting just above the alarm voltage sensor threshold, (if it has that function) therefore the heater being on takes the battery voltage below that threshold activating the alarm sounder.

U could always alter the alarms power supply to to the more stable battery to see what happens. Or remove the battery backed-counter if fitted and fit a standard one.

Bur as your certain you know cause just unplug the sensor, you can isolate the circuit by locking the vehicle with a key and not remotely... thats if your alarm system has that facility.

Cant see the battery voltage being the issue here. Never had that before when the battery has gone low from running a fridge pre split charge.

Now i have a split charge where the aux battery is isolated from the started battery when ignition off. Heaters run off the aux battery so the two should not be related.

I would have said it’s the battery too, but reading that it’s on your aux battery, then it can’t really. The only way to be certain, is to disconnect the aux battery from the split charge and see if it still does it.

What internal sensors does the alarm have? Any related to heat/thermal detection for the presence of a person?

I'd try locking it with the key instead of the fob. This will lock the doors and arm the alarm, but without the volumetric sensor operating.

If the alarm still sounds, you know it's not the movement sensor. ;)

That is what I have been doing! Glad it does actually arm the alarm too.

As for the heater ive dropped the fan speed by about 30% seems to have helped!
