i may be wrong but has anyone had deisel in the engine oil? as when i check the oil im sure its rising ??? and smells of deisel to me has anyone heard of this happening or is it possable , engine is running fine ,or am i being paroniod

No,it is happening - three reasons are; 1,injector o rings. 2,injector lower washers. 3 Cracked head.
Whichever it is it needs sorting.
 
have you seen this happen on the td5 b4 ? , is it much of a job to change o rings and washers at all .

Yes,and no its not a bad job as long as you read the book first.I even keep the washers / rings in stock.
 
You need the RAVE CD that has all the information of what you need to do... you only really need one page...
 
I used to have a Trooper 3.0TD, they're notorious for doing this. The problem with those was faulty injectors seals so could be similar on the Landy. I'd get it sorted straight away and wouldn't drive it until it's fixed. Literally hundreds of troopers have blown up due to this problem. The diesel mixes in with the oil and rises to such a point that it creates sufficient pressure to squeeze past the the piston rings. It can then self feed the engine and even the turning the ignition key off won't stop the engine. They rev so high that the engine self destructs.
