Hi all

I am about to change the wheel bearing on my 300 Defender, and am aware that you have to knock out the old races from the hub, and press the new one back in.
I have seen a Wheel Bearing Race & Seal Driver Set on ebay, which looks ideal, but I am unsure as to the size of driver that I would need.
Any one know ?

thanks all :)

I made the rookie error of knocking them in without grinding or cutting the old one. The job then took twice as long. At least i'll know for next time :D

To remove the races I use a soft steel drift and then use the old ones to tap in the new.

Once the new ones have been tapped in square as far as I can get them, I use the drift again to seat them as they are locating true to the bores and won't twist ... as long as you tap them in using a '5-point opposite' system, much the same as you would when replacing wheel nuts.
