Defender Td5 Diagnostic

I recently bought the diagnostic equipment for the Defender TD5. As you're probably aware, a standard OBD device wont work. If anybody needs fault codes checking, clearing, injector programming, fob programming ABS bleeding and much more... Just drop me a private message. where abouts in north east, and which diagnostics have yer got?

Now I had always assumed that by the TD5 it would be proper OBD11. That puts me right off - I've had enough trouble building a Roverguage interface for my softdash.

So what ECU does the TD5 use? Is it the Lucas 14CUX same as I have?

I have also heard that it is vehicle specific - can't just go to the breaker for a replacement, have to go to LR for one programmed for you? Is this true?

I'm on the outskirts of Middlesbrough. I use the Lynx and very impressed what it can do.
