Defender Steering Wheel 2015

I'm thinking of putting an Optimill steering wheel boss and lock on my Defender with a Momo Steering Wheel. A few questions for some guidance;

1. Is the spline on this model 48?
2. Has anyone got one and can highlight any problems I might have in fitting?
3. Has anyone got one and prepared to rate the usefulness and security of the steering wheel lock?

Any guidance appreciated, thank you.

Yes I have one on my 2010 Defender 90
Mine was 48 spline, but better to remove wheel and count
I do believe it offers additional protection to theft

Thank you for your reply. I will do just that. Wheat do you do with your wheel when you take it off? I am thinking of designing a strong box which attaches to the roll bars behind the seats and cubby box. Might seem an overkill but the more the merrier for me. Have you got Optimill hinges on your vehicle too?

Steering wheel is taken in doors at home
Otherwise its removed and chained to the roll bar behind the seats
Dont have Optimill hinges
