defender steering box

My ps box has gone and ****ing out fluid.
Need to get it changed asap.

I currently have a 6 bolt.
After trying to read up I understand the 4 bolt will fit straight on.

I don't think I can do a part exchange for a recon unit when they are different units.

I have been offered a disco box. Are they any better and what extra work / parts would be required?
( I know the arm would need changing but to which one?)

All help appreciated as I need to sort this quick with it being my only vehicle.

4 bolt box is a stronger box and is a straight fit,you would need qfw000020 drop arm

Ok the box I've been offered doesn't look like it will last long. I need a reconditioned box ( unless someone has one that is in good condition.....please).

Any recommendations in which company to use?

I got one off Autosteer on eBay re con £180 and has a 2 year warranty

I had saved that seller until I had got some feedback.

I've got one I'm pulling off a discovery later on if you want it, you can have the drop arm and control rod to the n/s wheel to if you want. The previous owner said he'd fitted it not long ago. I can post you up a picture though you would need to collect it from Ashby de la Zouch area. Make me an offer that doesn't involve chocolate or crisps

I had to chop the one track rod end off as it wouldn't come undone but the other one also looks new, I might have a spare but I'll have to check later as tis the wifes birthday and we're going oot for tea
