Defender speedo bounce

Hi my speedo is bouncing badly, all posts seem to say the cable goes to transfer box, however mine seems to go to front axle any ideas?

It's an f erg but had axles changed , I thought it was a breather from axle, it's on the front left passenger side

It looks like it goes. To passenger side of axle

that may be the breather pipe there should be a cable on rear of t/box behind hand brake assembly

I've followed it through from axle and it goes up through bulkhead so thinking it must be cable, will look under middle seat tomorrow but can't see breather going into cab, or does it ,

Thanks for taking time to reply I can post a picture tomorrow, the pipe is blue and seems to be secured with a nut to axle , I will get a gander under seat to see if the take off is in the normal position if it is it must be me DOH!

it is non std breather pipe ,routed as high as possible,the speedo cable comes out of center grommet above it and heads over filter down under the tunnel

Thank you I must be having a real senior moment, I will get to under seat tomorrow
Other than that it's a great beast , no leaks loads of new bits rebuilt from chassis up
May be selling after Christmas but like it too much at moment
