This might sound like a personal problem, my speedo and tach have become floppy, seems like that little magnetic motor, behind the needle is no longer working. All ideas and jokes welcome.

Do you mean they don't work at all, hang lower than they should, or fluctuate up and down when speed and revs are constant?

Discovery is a 01 series 2, took the console out, tested the gages to see if they would return to zero after moving forward. No resistance at all ,nor do they return to zeroTry the chemist
Also what year is the disco?
