Hi all,

Well I am busily working through my Defender 110 , 1991 on a 2.5TDI. I want
to get hold of a centre seat for the front. However, I thought I would run
it past this Newsgroup first.

I am going to be travelling some 10000 miles in the vehicle into Africa
later on this year early next year. What would be the comfiest seats to fit?
One of my children will occupy the centre seat so not too worried about it
being big enough for an adult. Has anyone fitted different seats for more
comfort or should I stick with the Defender seats?

In the back is fitted Volvo 740 seats and they are extremely comfortable.

Any help appreciated.

The space available for a centre seat is very limited in the defender and I
think anything but the original land rover item would be too wide (unless
you can find one of the very rare narrow body Westfield SE bucket seats I
can't find a opair of for love nor money.)

I do have a spare County Defender centre seat in my garage which you can
have cheap if you are interested, it's brushwood cloth I think and is
probably a bit dusty after 6 years.

that's what I was thinking. When I put the sierra seats in my 110, I wasn't
fitting a centre seat. Could just about have retained the original one, but
I wanted to move the sierra ones in an inch either side, which would have
precluded even that. The bods that make replacement seats do 'em, of
course, but they're special narrow ones.

the one I have here is probably unusable now, 's been lying around in the
weather.
