The two front seats and warn and the foam is coming away underneath. Each week I clean out a blanket of yellow grains on top of the battery box.

Been quoted £200 pound for a full recondition of both fronts out here (Middle East). Planning a long expedition so getting comfy seats is para.

Does this sound like money wasted? Can anyone recommend some new seats that don't break the bank?

Just need a nudge before spending (even more) money on the car.

Aaron I re-trimmed my old 200TDI, easy enough to do, but it's fiddly and at times a right pain in the arse. Lol!

Never done a set, but I can well imagine.
Kits have been bought a while, just need to do them when I get as far as fitting them.
And it'll be half the price of a new set of seats, which is the main part :p

You can buy new seat bases from Exmoor Trim - or the kits to do the job yourself. I'm sure they will post them to you. Brilliant pic!

I found retrimming kits pretty straight forward to be honest, it comes with a how to DVD. A tad fiddly at time, but nothing the average human being couldn't cope with

Niall, I retrimmed mine with a britpart kit from paddocks but Im not sure whether they'll deliver to Oman?

When are you planning to come back to the UK? Top work on the VOR commentary BTW :)

I've lost count how many I've retrimmed got it down to a fine art now and certainly recommend it
I put a few heated seat kits in at the same time
Whilst the seats aren't the most comfy they're practical and the retrim certainly improves things
