Defender rebuild bolt question

I will be swapping my chassis at the end of feb and I have been looking for a list of bolts used (mainly so I don't forget some). Could anyone point me in the direction of a list of bolts required for a defender rebuild? Or can anyone that has recently rebuilt their landy give me an idea of what bolts you required, I have been trawling the internet for hours now and I have found "wing to bulkhead" bolts and I have read that I will need a handful of m8's but that's about as accurate as the list got. Thanks in advance
 
Found stainless bolt kits but I wasn't sure about the implications of fitting stainless bolts to a galvy chassis, unfortunately the bolt kit I found didn't have bolt dimensions in the description.
 
don't buy stainless for anything that will need to be under load, stainless isn't strong enough

find a local bolt seller and go for 12.9 bzp, I bought boxes n boxes of 12.9 socket caps for a fraction of the 'complete kits' you see on places like ebay..

find a supplier and 'cash is king' as they say

.... hubs all done...

in fact every bolt has been replaced with bzp during the build... certainly better than Landrovers choice.....

not that expensive n bzp wont corrode anywhere near as fast as normal bolts... esp covered in copperslip

I'm going to be using mainly stainless fixings on my rebuild as I have quite a collection if ss bolts. Stainless will be ok for all body fixings just don't use it for high stress applications I.e suspension fittings. You'll be fine with the 12.9bzp bolts although I feel they're a little ott.

just use std zinc coated bolts and any except body work etc buy by part number as most arent std bolts
 
You'll be fine with the 12.9bzp bolts although I feel they're a little ott.

yep quite agree :) but price difference was pennies and socket caps have a nasty habit of rounding off... 12.9 will round the allen key first lol

will point out though I bought correct spec new bolts for things involving bushes...

ie a frame arm, panhard, radius arms etc you need to get the correct fit

How did you go about fitting the swivel bolts, must have been a bit tight?
