Defender Gearbox Removal/Clutch Replacement (with Pics)

Pull the engine out, a lot easier than removing gearbox.
R380 has reverse towards you and 300tdi has thin front belts, 200tdi has normal belts.

they are polyvee belts they can trasmit more torque

It's definitely the 300TDI.

I don't fancy pulling the whole engine out, I would never get it back in.

Going with the sliding the gearbox back method. Got an engine crane sorted to go through the doors and a trolly jack for the rear of the gearbox.
Should be able to slide it back and work on it like that.

Any tips?

The original guide would be really helpful if the pictures were still working!
