Defender Discovery Drop plate Question....

Afternoon folks,
A quick question that has probably been asked before but I cannot seem to find an answer! That probably says more about my searching the internet skills than anything else but hey ho.
I need a Drop plate towbar for my Discovery 1 and have been offered one off of a Defender...are the two interchangeable? Would someone in the know let me know please before I waste any of my money!

No they are different as far as I know. The Disco drop plate needs support bars each side fixed back underneath in the sub chassis. The Defender / Series drop plate is bolted directly onto the rear crossmember. I'm a series owner but looking at Disco drop plates they seem to involve a lot more work. There may be a thread on this somewhere.
