defender differences

can some one tell me any differences between a 1985 defender 110 n/a hard top with a 1991 defender 110 n/a hard top .its to help identifying stolen lanny inspection asap thanks

Old style door handles. Sliding windows. 3 Bolt steering box. All these MAY be features on the '85 model.

Different prefix letter on the numberplate.

did they do a 1991 n/a?

surely it would be td/tdi

n/a was still on special order in 1991

1985 wasn't a Defender.

i know it was badged as landrover 110,also wouldnt 1985 have ribbed roof and rear floor ?

Wasn't it around the early nineties that they started using coil springs rather than leaf springs. Not sure what year that was exactly though.

It's common for N/A's to have Tdi transplants, the easy way of telling it lift handles on doors, my 92' Defender has push button doors, which are ****e!

my 87 90 has push button handles
the roof if original will be ribbed, where as later 1 may have flat (dont quote me on the latter)

my 89 110 csw has push button handles and ribbed roof.

88 csw push button handles and ribbed roof

coil springs and correctly labelled as 'Landrover 110'

But now houses a 200tdi heart and lungs

have a good look at the chassis number, front offside dumb iron.

another good way to check is that all plastic molded bits have a production date on them, normally a round indiction. check a few plastic parts and see if it adds up
