Hello from Germany, I bought a Defender 90 ST TD5 from 2003 (also the VIN is SALLDVA583A ....). This car was ordered directly from Land Rover Germany and they used it as a promotional car (in magazines etc.). But no one can answer me why my car is LRC608 / Monte Carlo Blue Micatallic! In my opinion nobody could order this color in Germany 2002 or 2003.
Has anyone heard of cars with this or other "non-standard" colors. How did it work and are they "lonely wolves in the Defender jungle"?
The WWW told me that this color was only used until 1999, but in France we find a limited edition (HAwaii) in this "Monte Carlo Blue" in 2001.
Is it possible that Land Rover's main centers can order anything they want?
