Defender central locking rear door

Has anyone managed to successfully fit central locking to a pre 2002 defender 90 van I have fitted successfully the front servos but struggling to fit the rear as the lock mechanism is burst proof and I cannot get into it
Can anyone help with a solution

Buy a later model rear lock which has provision for central locking. Cheers.

Is the new style rear door lock with the provision for central locking the key barrel bigger that the previous one without central locking?

Drill a hole in the tab that you flick up and down to lock and unlock it and then put the rid from the actuator through said hole. Simples.
